This week, Boris Mrkajic, a Paragon IT Professionals Technical Recruiting Specialist, participated in a Junior Achievement BizTown event at Maple Grove Elementary in Waukee, Iowa. BizTownis a “financial literacy laboratory” initiative by Junior Achievement —inspiring and preparing kids to succeed by helping them build foundations for making intelligent, lifelong, personal financial decisions.
At the event, fifth grade students practiced interviewing for the jobs they wanted to have within BizTown, and Boris was tasked with interviewing them to see if they would be a good fit. Each student was responsible for presenting themselves through written, verbal, and dress to determine what job they got.
“The jobs varied from CEO to DJ to Beverage Manager,” said Boris. “The best part was just listening as to why some of these kids chose the job they wanted.”
