This past Thursday, the Paragon team had the honor of attending the 10th Annual Prometheus Awards Celebration as one of five finalists in the “IT Service Provider Technology Company of the Year.” The Prometheus Awards is an annual celebration of achievement across Iowa’s technology industry, and is co-hosted by the Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) and LWBJ Financial.
“The sell-out crowd was a great indication as to what Iowa is doing from a technology perspective,” said Paragon co-founder and TAI board member, Craig Jackman. “We’re coming into our own and being recognized as a technology state.”
“It’s exciting to see the rapid pace at which new sectors of technology is growing,” said Paragon co-founder and VP,Joel Jackman. “Especially in the AgTech and BioTech — it’s an important part of our Midwest economy, and the innovation that’s being done here is making a global impact.”
The hugely attended event was an excellent indicator of the enthusiasm around innovation, as well as how far the state has come in building a robust technology ecosystem. The IT community recognized outstanding leadership across a range of criteria — from startup to large companies and across areas of specialty, such as Manufacturing, AgTech, Software Development and more.
